A major construction and innovation showcase is heading to Liverpool next spring, promising to bring together some of the biggest names in the North’s built environment, energy and technology sectors.

Build North Expo will take place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool on Thursday 16th June, 2026, set against the city’s world-famous waterfront.

Organisers say this year’s event will be the biggest yet, offering a platform for businesses to connect, collaborate and share ideas shaping the future of construction and infrastructure across the region.

And you can still get involved.

“Liverpool’s position as the gateway to the North makes it the ideal location to connect with decision-makers, specifiers, contractors, developers and suppliers,” said Nick Fellows, managing director of organisers Crosby Associates Media. “Whether your goal is to launch a new product, build relationships or raise your brand profile, Build North Expo offers a dynamic platform to do business, share knowledge and showcase success.”

A sector at a turning point

Build North Expo 2026 comes at a pivotal time for the construction sector. Skills shortages remain high on the agenda, with contractors and developers under pressure to attract and retain talent while delivering against ambitious pipelines.

At the same time, regulatory reform and building safety requirements continue to reshape how projects are procured and delivered.

Compliance is no longer a back-office function but a central consideration from design through to handover.

Net zero has also moved beyond aspiration to implementation.

With carbon reporting, retrofit demands and renewable integration now embedded into project briefs, businesses are grappling with how to balance sustainability targets with cost certainty and programme pressures.

Meanwhile, digital adoption is accelerating. From BIM and data-led asset management to AI-driven planning and offsite innovation, technology is playing a growing role in improving productivity and transparency across the supply chain.

Against this backdrop, Build North Expo aims to provide a forum where these challenges can be discussed openly, practical solutions explored and new partnerships formed.

The 2026 edition will feature six specialist zones, each focusing on a key growth area:

  1. Building and Construction
  2. Tech, Data and Digital
  3. Solar and Renewable Energy
  4. Housebuilding, Renovation, Repairs and Maintenance
  5. Finance
  6. Health and Safety, Training and Skills

Each zone will include a live demonstration area, giving exhibitors the chance to showcase products and new technologies in action. Packages start from £1,200 for a 4m² stand, with larger spaces available for established brands looking to make a bigger impact.

Organisers expect strong footfall and high engagement, with extensive marketing planned in the run-up to the event.

From start-ups to industry giants, Build North Expo Liverpool is being billed as a key date in the calendar for those working across construction, housing, energy and tech.
