West Yorkshire-based principal contractor Majestic Construction has completed a new safe standing installation at Huddersfield Town Football Club’s Accu Stadium.
The project, delivered in the South Stand, has introduced a rail barrier system in front of the existing seating, with each supporter allocated a designated numbered position.
The installation is designed to provide a controlled standing environment while supporting crowd management and reducing the risk of overcrowding.

The new system features a single continuous rail across each row, creating defined positions for supporters while allowing them to stand throughout matches.

Huddersfield Town is one of six other EFL League One clubs to introduce the initiative, which is intended to improve spectator safety while supporting the atmosphere within the stadium.
The work forms part of the club’s wider investment in its stadium and follows a number of projects delivered by Majestic Construction over the past five years.
Previous schemes have included a new press area, additional directors’ seating, a large screen installation and water stations aimed at reducing single-use plastic bottles.
Majestic Construction continues Huddersfield Town partnership
Majestic Construction was appointed to deliver the safe standing project following its existing relationship with Huddersfield Town.
The contractor has worked across the retail, sport, logistics, commercial and property sectors and has delivered several projects at the Accu Stadium.
The latest scheme follows the renewal of Majestic Construction’s role as Huddersfield Town’s Official Construction Partner for the 2026/27 season and beyond, under a new two-year agreement.
Lee Marsden, owner and operator of Majestic Construction, said: “As a lifelong Huddersfield Town supporter, it has been a privilege to work alongside the Club over the past five years, helping to deliver a range of improvements at Accu Stadium.
“This latest venture is one I am particularly passionate about. Safe standing creates an environment that allows supporters to enjoy the atmosphere football is renowned for while prioritising their safety.
“We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in delivering another important development for the Club and its fans, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact it has throughout the season.”
Stadium project adds to spectator safety measures
David Threlfall-Sykes, Chief Operating Officer at Huddersfield Town FC, said: “Majestic Construction has become a valued partner of the Club, and has consistently supported our commitment to improving Accu Stadium for supporters.
“As a trusted principal contractor, with over thirty years of combined experience, Lee and his team were the ideal partners in delivering this important safety initiative. The introduction of safe standing represents another positive step forward for the Club, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Majestic Construction in the years ahead.”
