The National Federation of Builders (NFB) is excited to announce the relaunch of its Ambassadors Programme and is now seeking applications from passionate individuals across the NFB’s membership. The programme offers a unique opportunity for professionals to represent their regions or specialist topics, shape policy, and contribute at regional and national levels.
The newly revamped programme introduces a regional structure with two ambassadors in each region: one focused on regional industry matters and another acting as a specialist in a specific area of expertise within the construction sector. These ambassadors will collaborate through the Ambassadors Council, which provides direct representation to NFB leadership and ensures that both local and specialist industry concerns are addressed at the highest levels of the sector.
Mark Wakeford, Chairman of the National Federation of Builders and Chairman of member company, EvoEnergy, commented on the launch, saying:
“Being an Ambassador for the NFB is a fantastic opportunity for passionate professionals to influence policy, champion regional concerns, and engage in key industry topics.”
“We are looking for individuals who are committed to driving forward positive change in the construction sector, whether through their regional expertise or specialised knowledge in areas like sustainability, innovation, or safety.”
Successful applicants will have the chance to influence policy and advocacy, representing their region or area of expertise in discussions that affect the entire industry. Ambassadors will also benefit from exclusive networking opportunities, gaining early access to key NFB events and enjoying mentorship to enhance their career.
Applications for the NFB Ambassadors Programme are now open, with the deadline set for 15th November 2024. To apply or to learn more about the programme, please visit the NFB website here or contact AskNFB@builders.org.uk. The NFB encourages anyone with a passion for the industry to apply and take advantage of this exciting opportunity to lead and advocate for change.
