Founded in 1979, Shield Services Group provides diverse capabilities enabling us to complete works for multiple aspects of construction, engineering and refurbishment projects. We offer a comprehensive, integrated package for specialist construction works, as well as support and enabling works to complement contractors or individual services.
Our expertise covers Asbestos Surveying & Consultancy, removal of Asbestos materials, provision of licensed Scaffolding structures, Insulation installation, Mechanical, Electrical and Facilities services, and supply and installation of a wide range of Fire Safety and Security solutions.

Scaffolding facilitates other works and therefore needs to be fit for purpose and durable, lasting for the extent of each project. Our scaffolding works are entirely safety-compliant and in line with Shield’s ‘Safety First Initiative’. Safety is our priority and we have processes in place to ensure this. We carry out frequent and random inspections and audits which are recorded.
We hold a license to undertake licensed asbestos-scaffolding and our operatives are able to erect the structures required for the safe removal of licensed asbestos. Our scaffolding has also been adapted to the marine industry and our equipment and strategies have been modified to meet the challenges of confined spaces on board vessels. This means our team are equipped to build structures while vessels are in dock or on tour.
Our in-house scaffolding team consists of trained Advanced Scaffolders holding parts 1 and 2 and Contract Managers with considerable experience across a wide-range of sectors. We also sub-contract to scaffold designers and suppliers that are trusted and long-term partners.
