Sisk has started construction on the next phase of the Battersea Power Station regeneration, with work beginning on the Prospect Place South development.
The project, being delivered by Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), will comprise two residential buildings designed by Gehry Partners, Rosewood House and Hayworth House.
The buildings will complete the pedestrianised Electric Boulevard high street and deliver approximately 300 homes alongside 65,000 sq ft of commercial space for shops, cafes and restaurants.

A 15,000 sq ft Community Hub and an expanded bike hub with 600 spaces will also form part of the development.
Gehry-designed buildings to be built by Sisk
Sisk has been appointed as main contractor and will lead construction of the two buildings, which extend the existing Prospect Place development.
The scheme will use a more modern aesthetic than the existing Prospect Place buildings, with green roofs planned for both buildings.
BPSDC said the design measures are intended to reduce the development’s carbon footprint and contribute to a minimum 10% biodiversity net gain.
Construction is expected to create 400 jobs, with a target of 20% of the workforce coming from the local area.
The wider Battersea Power Station regeneration has already created approximately 7,500 jobs.
Construction of Prospect Place South is expected to complete in 2030.
Further 16 acres planned for regeneration
Around half of the wider 42-acre regeneration project has now been completed.
BPSDC has appointed strategic urban design planner Studio Egret West to update Rafael Viñoly’s original masterplan for the remaining 16 acres of the site.
A planning application is due to be submitted this month for the revised masterplan, which could provide up to 3.2 million sq ft of additional residential, commercial, cultural and leisure space.
The existing regeneration has delivered more than 2,200 homes, approximately 800,000 sq ft of offices and more than 170 shops, bars, restaurants and leisure venues.
Paul Brown, CEO at Sisk, said: “We are proud to be working alongside the Battersea Power Station team to bring forward Prospect Place South, which will deliver more than 300 new homes and two landmark buildings designed by Gehry Partners.
“This project reflects the strength and commitment of our supply chain partners and our capability to deliver large residential projects in London. We look forward to creating a lasting legacy in the local community in Wandsworth and south west London.”
James Saunders, CEO at BPSDC, said: “Breaking ground at Prospect Place South marks an exciting next chapter in the regeneration of Battersea Power Station and, importantly, sees construction getting underway on site once again. This is another significant step towards realising our long-term vision for the neighbourhood and will create further jobs and community spaces for local residents.
“We are delighted to be working with Sisk, whose expertise and commitment will be instrumental in bringing this next phase to life. Together, we will build on the incredible transformation already achieved at Battersea Power Station and deliver the next Gehry Partners-designed buildings on Electric Boulevard.”
