Construction businesses, contractors and housebuilders have just three days remaining to submit entries for the Construction Awards of Excellence 2026, with the final deadline set for Friday 8 May 2026.
The extension to the original entry deadline was introduced earlier this month following requests from industry participants managing workload and project commitments.
Organisers confirmed the change was intended to give applicants additional time to finalise submissions for the programme.

The awards are organised by the National Federation of Builders (NFB) in conjunction with Build News, and recognise achievement across business performance, project delivery, sustainability, skills development and individual leadership across the UK construction sector.
Entries are open to the full breadth of the industry, from regional SMEs through to national contractors delivering major infrastructure and housing schemes.
Final countdown to entry deadline
With the deadline now imminent, organisers are urging firms that have not yet submitted to do so without delay.
Once closed, submissions will be assessed ahead of the awards ceremony taking place on 12th November 2026 at the Burlington Hotel, Birmingham, where winners across all categories will be announced.
The awards form part of a wider programme designed to highlight excellence and innovation across the UK built environment, with categories spanning contractor performance, project delivery, sustainable construction, training and digital innovation.
Further details on entry requirements and categories are available via the official awards programme.
Industry recognition across key construction categories
The 2026 programme includes recognition for contractors of all sizes, as well as project-led awards covering public and private sector schemes, sustainability performance, heritage work and housing development.
Individual and business-focused categories also highlight emerging talent, innovation in construction methods, and leadership across the sector.
With only days remaining, the entry window is now in its final stage before judging begins ahead of the autumn shortlist announcement.
